We are delighted to again be working with Lomar to enhance the support given by this scholarship, which is supporting the future careers of students of some of our brightest talents. We hope they will soon be following the path of Achim Boehme by becoming our future leaders of shipping the world over.”
Achim Boehme tragically lost a brave, year-long battle with cancer in July 2020. The Achim Boehme Scholarship (AchimBoehmeScholarship.com) perpetuates the lifelong contribution to shipping and dedication of this remarkable professional in the maritime industry. The grant contributes to the cost of education, while further support is offered to help prepare students for their professional careers.
All recipients are shipping students at Hochschule Bremen - City University of Applied Sciences in Achim’s home city of Bremen, Germany. He had a close affinity to the university and the scholarship is dedicated to students taking degree programs in International Ship Management - Nautical Sciences B.Sc. (ISMN) and International Shipping and Chartering B.A. (ISSC).
